WYK Digital is a social enterprise with a mission to widen access to digital jobs for underrepresented young people. They empower young people from all backgrounds to embark on a digital marketing career. Their purpose is to make success in the digital age accessible to young people regardless of their start in life.
WYK Digital also help businesses recruit young people who are ready to start a career in digital. WYK’s six-week educational program gives young people a grasp of all fundamental aspects of digital marketing. They combine e-learning, 1-2-1 coaching hands on experience of managing actual digital campaigns to prepare their students for what a career in digital has in store. Through their WYK accelerator programmes they offer coaching from industry veterans and combine theory and practical training to open the door to a career in digital.
Graduates from their programmes complete industry recognised certifications and have been coached by experts from a range of digital disciples.
Funding from Postcode Innovation Trust was used to invest in sales, marketing and leveraging technology that will allow WYK to scale without compromising on the effectiveness of their social impact, thanks to Players of People's Postcode Lottery. WYK’s goal is to increase the number of young people trained in a calendar year from 120 to 400 by increasing the number of training programmes and widening their syllabus scope.
