Seable’s mission is to provide accessible tailored holidays to the visually impaired community. Seable is the only British tour operator to offer assisted tailored holidays to the blind community. They provide a trained local chaperone that assist the traveller(s) during their entire holiday, from airport pickup to departure.
The holiday activities offered are designed and tailored around the principles of well-being. Seable offer an opportunity to increase confidence, become more independent, learn new skills and make lifelong friends. To date, Seable have been focused on providing accessible holidays abroad in locations such as Sicily, Slovenia, Netherlands, Lanzarote, Rome, Florence, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.
Funding from Postcode Innovation Trust will be used to build on their model of providing holidays abroad for the blind and partially sighted by launching a domestic-focused holiday service within Great Britain, thanks to Players of People's Postcode Lottery. Creating a new domestic holiday service will expand the number of people Seable can support and cater to. This includes persons that are elderly, travelling with guide dogs, have fear of travel, have fear of flying, have lower budgets and who require short breaks due to covid, work, stress, or isolation.
