Bridge Place is a not-for-profit organisation established to address a critical gap in the social housing system: the lack of high-quality, long-term homes for people with complex needs.
They are in the process of registering as a Registered Provider (RP) of Social Housing, with a mission to deliver small-scale, community-rooted housing that supports people often left behind by mainstream providers including those experiencing homelessness, trauma, or multiple disadvantage.
They will specialise in acquiring and managing smaller properties, which are ideal for residents requiring intensive support. These homes will be let at Social Rent or Local Housing Allowance levels and will be designed in partnership with local charities who understand the needs of the communities they serve.
Their model is designed to enable the eventual transfer of homes to trusted local charity partners, building their long-term balance sheets and leaving a legacy of community-owned housing that continues to serve those in greatest need.
The social investment will support the development and expansion of this new provision, enabling Bridge Place to establish its Registered Provider status and deliver specialist housing for those most in need. The aim is to create small-scale, high-impact, trauma-informed housing solutions for individuals and families experiencing complex needs, including those facing or emerging from homelessness.
