Cyrenians Launched Social Enterprise at Arnotdale House

Cyrenians has officially launched a new Social Enterprise offering in the heart of Falkirk at Arnotdale House in Dollar Park. They were awarded £137,000 in blended finance (50% grant, 50% loan) thanks to the support of Players of the People's Postcode Lottery, through the Postcode Innovation Trust Social Investment Programme.

Taking ownership of the beautiful building over a year ago the charity has now launched their ambitious new social enterprise with the opening of a café space and unique function rooms to hire.

Arnotdale House and Café Manager Scott Millar said, “Being part of the renovation of this beautiful house has been a truly humbling and exciting process. Lots of organisations have been crucial to helping us get to this point, including Falkirk Council and Colorado Construction.

“Our vision for this house has always been to create a space that the local community can really benefit from. We have offices in the upper floor of the house where we operate our charitable services from, supporting local individuals to feel better connected to Falkirk, getting back into work, and more.

“We’re delighted to finally have our café space open and welcoming local dog walkers, park goers and families in! We serve breakfast and lunch options Thursday to Monday every week, supporting local vendors as much as we can to ensure it truly is a community café.

“This week we have also launched our brand new pay it forward scheme – the loyalty card with a difference! We understand that people who choose to support social enterprises like ours are passionate about supporting businesses that have a positive impact on others, so we’ve gone one step further and created a loyalty scheme that means individuals can have more say over the level of support they give. By supporting the café and choosing to buy your coffee here, you can collect stamps that by the end of it, can be donated to provide a free meal and hot drink to someone local who truly needs it.

“We are excited to continue growing our social enterprise impact, and we are so grateful to everyone who has already come to support our life-changing work here.”

Arnotdale House and Café is open Thursday-Monday from 9am-4pm. Function rooms and event spaces can be booked and hired upon request. To find out more visit their Facebook page at:
