Ethex Match Funding
Ethex have been awarded a £500,000 grant from Postcode Innovation Trust, thanks to players of People's Postcode Lottery, in order to provide match funding for social investments on their crowdfunding platform.
This funding will help to leverage additional investment from individuals, delivering the critical finance that organisations protecting people and the planet urgently need to deliver on the UK’s climate change ambitions, at the same time as presenting value for communities hit hard by the COVID 19 pandemic.
Ethex is a multi-award winning, not-for-profit, impact investing platform. Through the power of digital technology, Ethex connects individuals and communities and empowers them to fight climate change, reduce poverty and build resilient communities through people-powered affordable finance.
Ethex helps connect organisations, communities and people do great things like:
- Build new community renewable energy schemes
- Provide more social and affordable housing
- Create sustainable food and agriculture projects
- Develop sustainable transport and infrastructure and
- Provide vital community services and protect valuable community assets
Over the past 5 years, Ethex’s community of over 16,000 everyday people have raised over £75 million in people-powered finance to help more than 100 community organisations and social enterprises scale and grow. Ethex investors come from all walks of life, ages and locations investing small amounts of money (from £50) in initiatives they believe in.
